Health: Rest is Best for Good Health ( part:02)

Benefits of Night Rest

Getting better sleep not only improves your morning mood; surprisingly, it improves your health, too. In fact, a good night's sleep is one of the keys to good health, including proper nutrition and regular exercise. Of course you can't have a better life without holding your Zzz every night.

Indeed, most of us experience occasional insomnia. The main concern is the loss of chronic sleep. Sleep needs vary, but the average adult should sleep between seven and nine hours every night for maximum health benefits, according to the National Sleep Foundation.

Healthier Heart

While you sleep, your blood pressure drops and you give your heart a chance to relax. It also lets your blood pressure control. If you reduce that time, your blood pressure stays high for a long period of time every 24 hours. Over time, high blood pressure can lead to heart disease or stroke.

Weight Control

When you do not get enough sleep, it affects the hormones in your brain that control your appetite. Lack of sleep not only releases your appetite hormones, which causes you to overeat, but you also have less motivation to move. It is a way to gain weight. Needless to say, people who have not yet got enough sleep have a tendency to choose unhealthy, high-calorie “comforting” foods.

Improved Athletic Ability

A good night's rest prepares you for good work. Inadequate sleep deprives your body of energy and time to repair muscle. Not to mention, it enhances your motivation to continue, whether you skip the last line or increase the inclination of the printing press. Without proper rest, you will face serious mental and physical challenges.

Sharper Brain Function

When you do not get good rest at night, it disrupts brain function, which includes concentration and productivity. It is very difficult to concentrate when you are tired and put new information in your memory.

In addition, without adequate sleep, your brain does not have enough time to store memories so that you can remember them later. In fact, your brain needs time to catch up to get ready for the next day.

Better Mood

When you sleep, your brain processes your emotions. Adequate sleep allows you to click the reset button, have a positive attitude and better prepare yourself to meet the challenges of the day. When that time is cut short, you tend to react negatively emotionally. In fact, some studies point to an increased risk of emotional distress due to chronic sleep deprivation.

Balanced Blood Sugar

During your deep sleep, blood glucose levels drop. Without your body time to rest and reset, it will have a difficult time responding to your cellular needs and blood sugar levels. In fact, studies have shown that insomnia can cause prediabetes in healthy adults.

Immune Boost

Chronic sleep deprivation can actually change the way your immune system works and affect your immune system. Therefore, your cells may not respond immediately to harmful bacteria and viruses, causing you to become ill more often.
